About the role

As a key member of Council's Statutory Planning team, the Coordinator of Statutory Planning will be responsible for leading the Planning Department on a day-to-day basis and well as collaborating with a number of areas, both within Council and externally.

The role will include the assessment of more complex planning applications as well as providing guidance to other planners and staff within the team and Council. Strong knowledge of the Planning Framework, understanding of Local Government functions and a desire and skills to lead a small staff group will be key to the role to ensure an efficient and effective planning service.
