About the role

The Coordinator Compliance provides leadership within Council and the community on compliance and community safety with a focus on a proportionate and graduated response to compliance issues. The Coordinator Compliance leads a team that delivers Local Laws, Animal Management, Planning Compliance, Municipal Fire Prevention, School Crossing Supervision and the Officer for the Protection of the Local Environment, EPA program. As a key member of Council's Statutory Services team, the Coordinator Statutory Planning will work collaboratively with all areas of Council, Councillors, community members, relevant external agencies and government departments and will contribute to strategic land use plans and operational functions to ensure that the provision of statutory planning services are effective and efficient.
