Are you passionate about community safety and resilience? Do you thrive in collaborative settings where your efforts drive meaningful, positive change? If so, we invite you to join our team as an Emergency Management Officer!

In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts to build and enhance emergency management systems. Your primary responsibility will be to support the development and implementation of robust emergency response and preparedness strategies. You'll work hand-in-hand with both internal teams and external partners to ensure our community is well-prepared and resilient in the face of emergencies.

Your day-to-day will involve coordinating emergency management processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and liaising with various stakeholders to deliver programs that strengthen community preparedness. You'll be the go-to person for managing and resolving issues related to emergency management, using your skills to navigate complex scenarios and drive effective solutions.

In this role, your expertise will be crucial in creating a safer, more resilient community. You'll be responsible for crafting and delivering comprehensive emergency management plans, reports, and presentations. Your strong communication skills will help you translate complex ideas into clear, actionable steps, ensuring that everyone involved is informed and ready to act.

If you have a background in emergency management, planning, or community engagement—whether through formal qualifications or substantial experience—we'd love to hear from you. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of emergency management legislation and best practices, but more importantly, someone who excels at building relationships and working collaboratively with diverse groups.

At Central Goldfields Shire Council, we are dedicated to supporting your professional growth and development. We offer ongoing training opportunities, from structured learning and technical training to leadership and management seminars. We believe in recognising and rewarding performance with competitive salaries, and we provide flexible working options to accommodate your personal responsibilities.
