About the role
Council has a number of exciting projects currently underway including rehabilitation of a heritage outdoor swimming pool, upgrades to the Maryborough Art Gallery, activation of the railway station and upgrades to the Carisbrook Recreation Reserve.
These projects (and more) are grant-funded and being delivered on tight timeframes. They are important to the community and to Council.
Who are we looking for?
Come and join our Major Projects team and help deliver our program. Ideally, you will have experience in project management and contract administration with significant construction projects. You may also have some background working with heritage structures. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work with a wide-range of stakeholders including other Council employees, community members, regulatory and grant authorities and contractors.
As a local government employee, you are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid19 or provide a valid medical exemption.
What we offer you
We are open to discussing the possibility of flexible working arrangements including part-time hours and flexible start and finishing times that work for both you and the organisation. You are welcome to discuss these opportunities at interview.
We offer a great salary, excellent growth opportunities and the ability to really influence the future of our council and its surrounds. If this sounds like you, be part of an innovative and committed council and apply today!
