About the role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer to assist our residents and ratepayers, delivering customer service excellence through a maintained knowledge of general council processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to deliver a high standard of service, and to determine and satisfy individual customer needs.

The key tasks of this role will include responding to and solving enquires in-person at the Customer Service Centre, via Call Centre and assisting with payment transactions. The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively within a team environment ensuring the customer is at the heart of all transactions. As a Customer Service Officer you will aim to provide all customers both external and internal with a positive and friendly experience.

This is a permanent part time role approx. 8-10 hours per week typically covering the lunchtime break over 3 days.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to demonstrate core customer service values, and have an attention to detail. Experience in a similar customer facing role would be advantageous.
