About the role
The Coordinator Roads and Works undertakes the roads maintenance program in accordance with Council's Road Management Plan. This includes maintenance of roads, footpaths, drains, bridges and culverts, and drain cleaning. The role also undertakes various capital works associated with roads, including new footpaths, drains and road upgrades.
The position effectively manages the program over the financial year, and coordinates teams, materials, and equipment to deliver the service, including procurement of some services.
You will hold a degree or diploma in civil engineering with experience in municipal works or less formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience in municipal works. Your previous experience in supervising a team of staff to achieve results will be complemented with your ability to prepare written documentation associated with the role and ensure work is undertaken in accordance with OHS requirements.
